The TuffBoxx Picnic and Camper Waste Receptacles and the Broot garbage bin built with front door access. There are either front load chutes or top lids are for placing waste in the bin, while the lockable front doors are for the remove of waste. These containers are designed to keep bears, raccoons, dogs, squirrels, birds, and any other wildlife from accessing your garbage. These units will stand up to Black Bears, and will probably even be effective with Grizzly Bears. The Commercial series containers utilize 14 Gauge metal for the base and top components, while the sides and doors are 16 Gauge.

Our base models are easily strong enough to keep out raccoons, coyotes, dogs, and other smaller critters, but with the addition of the TuffBoxx Bear Guard accessories the bins can be effective enough to keep out Black, Grizzly, and even Kodiak or Polar bears.

PERFECT FOR PUBLIC SPACES

The Picnic, Camper, and Lodge were designed as public waste receptacles, suitable for public parks, campgrounds, or sidewalk environments. The bins are designed to be used with Rubbermaid Brute (or other similar inner containers), which hold the waste bags. The inner containers are not included, but we can supply TuffBoxx Commercial Series bins can be locked with padlocks. The doors can be configured, so that they can be either at the front or the rear of the bin.

VERSATILE DESIGN FOR MANY USES

With their flat surfaced sides and doors the Commercial Series bins are also well suited for advertising or public service information, signage or wraps. The advertising could be a revenue generator, and the public service info could be used for streetscape enhancements. The wraps or signage also provide additional protection for the bins.

All of the Commercial Series bins have animal resistant lids or chutes that can have bear resistant latches, or can come without latches for those places where being bear resistant isn’t a requirement. The Broot lids can have gas shocks for safer operation, or can just close using gravity. In addition to keeping wildlife out, the lids keep the elements out as well. This will prevent garbage from being blown around, and rain from making it too heavy for waste collection staff.
